A photo i took this morning of the lunar eclipse. The shadow on the Moon is caused by the Earth which is between the Sun and the Moon. Some light can still creep round the edges of the Earth though which gives it a reddish colour.

The great new project from zooniverse; you can help analyse data from NASA's Kepler telescope and find some exoplanets. Exoplanets are planets outwith our solar system and although they might be very far away, we can spot them when they get in the way of the light that is coming from a star near to them. It is this data that you analyse on the planethunters website. You'll need one of the latest browsers though as its quite high powered. The introductory tutorial gives you all you need to know. Log in and try it out, you might just find a new planet.
